Since I Left You by The Avalanches
Oct 09 2023

Cool beats, good background music.

Dummy by Portishead
Oct 11 2023

Sounds futuristic in 2023

Ingenue by k.d. lang
Oct 14 2023

Love the bits of country twang sprinkled in. Hard to deny her voice and some of the arrangements are really incredible, unfortunately not my cup o' tea otherwise would be higher.

Stankonia by OutKast
Oct 16 2023

Dope. Maybe a bit too long.

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Oct 17 2023

Good ol' rock 'n' roll, really fun album, nothing too special. Still in Love with You and the transition from Cowboy Song to The Boys Are Back in Town were standout moments for me.

Vanishing Point by Primal Scream
Oct 18 2023

Super interesting, original.

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Oct 19 2023

Chill af.

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
Oct 20 2023

I'm a sucker for an album with a definitive aesthetic, so an iconic album cover is somewhat of an unfair head-start, but the music is just as good, if not better. Loving the horns and background singers throughout, feels very much like an artistic or theatrical performance as opposed to just music, which is on of the reasons why I think Bowie is such a legend. Great opener and incredible closer, wide range of tunes in between while keeping the fun of classic rock. Easy, and first, 5 stars.

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Oct 21 2023

This is what you think of when you hear the word "jazz". Just good, smooth listening. Something to lounge and smoke cigars and drink whiskey to.

Abraxas by Santana
Oct 22 2023

Some gnarly guitar and some gnarly bongos.

Pretenders by Pretenders
Oct 23 2023

Based off the album cover, was not expecting a punk opener. Good variety and super fun throughout, great lyrics, big Television vibes in the guitar work, Blondie an obvious comparison in many parts, even some reggae vibes on Private Life (No Doubt MUST have listened to these guys). Was never too familiar with these guys outside of Tatooed Love Boys from GH2 (lol), enjoyed it.

Queen II by Queen
Nov 07 2023

"BIG" sounding album, pretty hard for a Queen album. Enjoyed the fantasy/lore aspects of some of the songs. Solid listen.

Copper Blue by Sugar
Nov 08 2023

Very 90's, grungy, crunchy guitar. Contemporary comparison would be Drug Church.

Trafalgar by Bee Gees
Nov 09 2023

I mean it's some heartfelt shit but, like, not likely to revisit.

The United States Of America by The United States Of America
Nov 10 2023

Pssssychadelic, no big standouts. Lots of sounds you hear in psych rock today which is cool.
