1001 Albums Summary

I really like the vocals and the delivery. The samples are mind-boggily well executed. Even though it's not my style of music I can see the art and dedication to the craft (over 8 hours worth of songs were sampled!). Hey Ladies and Shake Your Rump were standouts for me.

This was fun- felt like studying history even. I don't love classic metal but there's always some respect and appreciation for the pioneers of a genre I hold dear. Phantom of the Opera, Transylvania, Strange World, and Iron Maiden were standouts. On the vocals- they aren't the best by any means but they aren't horrible to my ears. The vocalist can certainly carry a tune in an inoffensive way IMO. The album instrumentally, though, is where they shine. Wonderful riffs, KILLER drumming, and an overall sense of unity. Not one thing felt off instrumentally. Solid album, 3/5.
