1001 Albums Summary

I absolutely enjoy this album. The guitar driven pop rock with synths worked into it is great. Vocal style reminds me of “Television’s” lead singer. I feel like I can hear how weezer took inspiration from this album to create Pinkerton, ranging from the vocals to the synth post choruses. The fourth track is very interesting and stripped down. A proper slapper of an album. Very catchy Melodys all around the board. Absolutely in love with their sound.

this is my first introduction to the ska sound and I enjoy it, but not heavily. I thought the production sounded great with very catchy instrumental passages. Wasn’t a huge fan of the vocals or the kinda “spooky” vibe on the intro. Overall I can see how people would like this album, nothing offended me it’s just not my style.

I thought the album sounded good, again not really my style. I grew up listening to classic rock so I heard a lot of these songs.

I have always been a fan of Black Sabbath, so this album was right at home. Have heard most of the songs before listening to the album.
