Trippy, spooky, driving, and whimsical. Varied instrumentation added fantastic pizzazz and shades of Queen.
Feels like Elton at the height of his powers.
Good musicianship but too "far out" for my tastes.
LGIO is about as strong an opener as it gets. Fantastic album overall from a legend.
This album preceded Let's Get It On by only three years?! Marvin Gaye is truly a legend.
While I appreciate the influence this album has certainly had, I don't think Venom will ever be my cup of tea. The songs bordered on satirical. Maybe they are? Also, I wonder if their spelling of "sacrifice" inspired Gwen Stefani to teach the world how to spell "bananas"? If so, bravo Venom. Bravo.
Beautiful soaring melodies with Phil's drums lurking in then background. A little same-y across the whole album.
