1001 Albums Summary

Would be good background music at home. Not usually my thing. Most of the songs sounded similar. Lounge act kind of music.

Good album. Not my favorite Beck. Has some real highs but some tracks I'm not crazy about.

Surprised by how much I liked it. I didn't know really what to expect. Only knew her song 'Rehab' and I did watch the documentary Amy. I think this would grow even more on me over time. Will be checking out her other album. Strong 3. Would be a 3.5 if the option.

I'll listen to anything the Pixies release. Not my favorite album by them but still good.

Classic Metallica. Not my favorite of theirs, probably top 3. their best sounding album of the 80's

Loved this album since I first heard when I was 17. It will always be a 5 for me. The first half is more raw punk/garage rock then when it gets to No No No, Maps, and Y Control that's what takes it to the next level. I know they wanted to grow and not repeat themselves on album two (like The Strokes) but I wish they did so we had more songs like this from them.

Laid back music I could relax to. Somewhat similar style to Jim Croce who I really like.

Never heard of this. Interesting post punk/new wave rock

The King. Sun Recordings and early Elvis are A tier

One of Pink Floyd's best. 1 or 2. This and Dark Side are top 2. Albums concept about former member Syd Barrett, very sad life story of him. Have a Cigar and Wish you Were Here are A tier.

Has some absolute bangers and classics. But there are some duds. Also, as I've gotten older I find Led Zeppelins lyrics to be rough. Good voice but lyrically tough.

Ehh. Almost good. I like the energy of the punk rock vibe but it just didn't cut it for me.
