Melodrama
LordeI liked this a lot more than I thought I would. Not as great as Pure Heroine, but few albums are.

Great album from an interesting period in music. There’s a good mix of psychedelic influences and classic rock, and Ozzy has a good combination of angst and passion.
I have never been able to get into Jazz, but I really enjoyed this. Duke is a great pianist, and his band can really make the horns sing. Also loved listening to the upright bass. This was really cool. Might be my window into jazz music
A nice rock album from the late 1980s that shows an eclectic array of influences. Great bass lines throughout.
This is such a masterpiece. Two of my favorite Rolling Stones songs are here, and this has such a nice mix of blues and hillbilly music to round out the crunchy rock songs.
This was a bit too slow a plodding for me. I can hear a lot of really cool influences, and I like the psychedelic elements, drums that are evocative of Jazz, and what sounds like a steel guitar in places.
This is great. James Brown has such a legendary voice, and the instrumentation is top notch.
Great album that belongs alongside the best of Jefferson Airplane, Buffalo Springfield, and the Doors. So many great influences from world music, incredible acoustic guitar work, and subtle percussion. This is the music your dad or grandfather got stoned to.
I’m not a rap fan, and I wasn’t a fan of the numerous references to rectums and vaginas, but the album has great flow and I appreciate that it sticks to a theme throughout.

This was awesome. I’m not a hip hop fan, but I thought this was great. I love the production/instrumentation, and the lyrical flow is great. I also love the political critiques.
This is a great instrumental album that spans a number of genres but is also definitively ‘80s. Definitely worth repeat listens.
