1001 Albums Summary

‘Vicious’ was a failed effort of a heavy-hitter… but the songs that were too relaxed just ended up being boring. His sweet spot seems to be somewhere in the middle. ‘Perfect Day’, ‘Satellite Of Love’, and ‘Wagon Wheel’ are good examples of the kind of energy that really seem to work for him. The album is a mixed bag but it had its moments and I can appreciate his effort for variety. Nothing I would add to a playlist but was somewhat impressed at the overall vibe despite the lackluster singing and bad first impression.

As a compliment, this is basically just a very lively Beatles album.

One of the most influential albums in rock. Great example of the talent that this band possesses. Not something that sticks with me personally but not something to downplay either.
