Oddly comforting but I could not shake the feeling that It may lead me to shooting up a school at some point

Moondance by Van Morrison
Nov 18 2023

A perfect album. One that lays out clearly thre distinct voice of Morrison. Perfectly blends Irish Folk, Jazz and RnB. A beautiful and nostalgic album.

Listened to a few songs but was not my cup of tea

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin

One of my all time favourite albums!

Very much of its era, but full of absolute classics. Dre came into his own as a producer, Ice Cube's lyrics are amazing and Eazy E attitude and bravado is simply class.

461 Ocean Boulevard by Eric Clapton
Nov 27 2023

While I respect Claptons laid back style in 461 Ocean Boulevard, and there are most certainly parts of the album I love, such as Motherless Children, and Steady Rollin' Man. The album in general, for me doesnt live up to the benchmarks set by Layla and Other Assorted Lovesongs, as well as the Cream Era Clapton. But that is a personal preference more than anything

An immediate and effective concept album. Beginning with Victoria, the juxtapose the Victorian British Empire ideals with the reality of day to day life in modern (for the time) Britain, in a funny anecdotal style that epitomises The Kinks. Maybe my favourite Rock Opera Album that I have listened to. The story and lyrics are as evocative today as they were in the 60's.
