Great and beautiful album. Ex-factor is a masterpiece, just like I Used to Love Him and the cover of Can´t Take My Eyes Off Of You. Love the flow and how different it sounds from everything else. She can sing, she can rap, she can do everything! Also the fusion of sounds, r&b with soul with hip hop! It's a masterpiece.
Not really my genre, but gotta admit this is very well produced and, for a hip-hop rap album, I wasn´t expecting the jazz influences. Q-Tip was great in this album and there are some gems, like "What?" and "Check the Rhime" (especially the last one). However, this is not really for me because, even with the production, I found the rapping a little bit monotonous and didn´t really stick with me, but I can definitely say this is a great album.
Such a versatile record with great elements of rock, the production is awesome, it explores different themes and Jack White´s vocals are very interesting and different. It could be one or two tracks shorter but overall great album (my first time listening to The White Stripes and I´m not disappointed).
I think it's impossible not to like this album, especially with how important it was at the time and all the history surrounding the release of this album. I enjoyed it, but I think the songs are far too long and it didn't really did it for me, but objectively it was good. 3,5/5
Ugh, I loved everything about this album. I have never listened to anything by The Smiths and this just blew me away. The amount of topics explored in this record, the production, the vocals, everything was great. Obviously, the lyricism is a big plus and it could be interpreted in various ways and with time you could try to understand them so much better, but I really liked it.
Beautiful. Just beautiful. She has a beautiful voice and she uses it perfectly.
The variety of themes explored, such as political statements or the society itself, love, heartbreak, and her own personal problems made this a very interesting record.
Some very beautiful ballads, but the song that struck me out the most was the acapella one ("Behind the wall") - chills with this one.
I wasn´t expecting an album with flutes and with such great instrumentation. Very good.
Oh, Back to Life just blew me away. Couldn´t stop listening to that one.
Overall, the vibe of this album was incredible and I enjoyed it. This R&B /soul album was awesome.
Exceptional. Liability lives rent free in my head for years now. This album is not new for me and I often revisit because it’s truly one of the best pop albums of the 10s.
Love his energy, he´s got a good voice and his rendition of "Without You" is superb. However, there´s nothing in this album I found memorable or that made would make me revisit in the future. Great album closer tho.
