I'm a huge sucker for strings, don't get me wrong, but they don’t add anything to the album at all. He slaps strings on his shitty rock songs to make them seem GRAND (Which is UNNECESSARY and STUPID). Instead of doing anything interesting (like Babybird), the songs don’t really change much. I think the songs are too long, and it doesn’t help that the album progresses very slowly. Beck doesn’t sound great either. He almost sounds dead...

I'm no a fan of music like this. Not a lot going on here it's just a bunch of reverb to me. Lots of TENSION but the output is very sad.

I hate boomer music sadly. Some songs are cool tho.
