Dirty dungeon beats, great lyrics. Favorite songs being living in the world today, liquid swords, 4th chamber. One of my favorite hip hop albums, but can be a little too “dirty” sounding for me to listen to over and over.
Liked it enough. Seemed pretty ahead of their time as far as the sound went. I can definitely see how they may have influenced a lot of bands today. Thought “the growlers” kind of sounded similar. Not going to go back right away and listen to them more, but I didn’t hate it. Favorite song was “made of stone”.
This album gets me FIRED UP. Love the combination of some great and energetic guitar riffs with Bruce Dickinsons crystal clean voice. Favorite songs being children of the damned, hallowed be thy name, and obviously run to the hills.
This would probably piss a lot of people off, but my biggest knock on the album is that to me, a lot of the songs sound the same. I felt that a lot of the songs almost had such a loose structure that it made it difficult to pickup on any consistent melodies.
I think that’s why I like run to the hills so much, because there’s a a clear chorus, easy to pickup melody and it’s catchy as hell. I felt like that couldn’t be said for a lot of the other songs. I had to temper my rating just because I needed to keep in mind to rate the entire album, not just inflate the score because run to the hills is an absolute banger. I enjoy this genre of music a lot, wish I could give it a 3.5/4.
Liked this album enough! Pretty fun album with some less serious songs. Reminded me a lot of like early 2000’s pop-punk albums. Probably wouldn’t go back right away and listen again, but I did enjoy it!
This album was kinda trash. I feel like could have made the beats on a game boy advanced. Definitely felt like a chore listening to it. Not my kind of music, although “Kisses on the Wind” was kind of a banger. I can see the appeal, but this is just not my type of music. I liked the songs where she actually sang more than the ones where she tried to rap. Don’t think I will ever listen to this again.
Absolute banger. Don’t feel like I want to skip a single song. I might be biased because I love Green Day. Great energy, catchy songs. One of those albums you could listen to no matter what kind of mood you are in. Could listen to this over and over. Favorites are: welcome to paradise, she, basket case, having a blast, and my favorite on the album is Longview.
Great album. Love the stones, love every song on this album. Combines blues with some great guitar riffs and Mick Jaggers vocals suit their style of music perfectly. I love the way when the guitar isn’t the focal point of the music, Keith finds a way to nicely place some meandering guitar fills for the back ground. The riff on “can’t you hear me knocking” is top 5 guitar riffs for me. Would be the perfect album for chilling at home doing puzzles or to listen to while on a run. Big fan of the blues so I’m always gonna be a fan of this.
I actually really enjoyed this album, excluding “moonchild”. Great mix of rock, jazz, and a smattering of other genres, kind of reminded me of some of the songs on Sargent Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, or some stuff by radio head. Very full sounds, great drums and it was neat the hear where Kanye get his sample from. I really liked the build up in some of the songs and the big crescendos. Would listen to again.
I really liked this album! All very upbeat songs and were all an enjoyable listen. All very straight forward songs, nothing mind bending or earth shattering, but a fun listen and a lot of catchy songs.
I liked: girls and boys, parklife, to the end, and lot 105.
