1001 Albums Summary

Day 1 Never really saught her music out but was glad to see this as my first album. A challenge. That said, I found her persona and more so her forced accent to be obnoxious. She has a lovely voice but doesn't really explore it (except when she does, like in the grating "Come Alive"). I appreciate that parts of the album just feels like a non-stop track—tiring at times and I'm sure it makes repeat listens a task, but I think it's an admirable concept, and she sticks to it. Overall, I suspect this album hasn't aged well. Don't own: Streamed 2/5 (initial 2.5), sorry, just didn't care for it
