If we think of an album that can be described as wonderful, the first one that would come to mind would definitely be "Songs in the Key of Life" by Steve Wonder.
It was the first time I listened to one of this artist, at first I thought it would be boring because it wasn't one of my favorite genres and its duration was very long, but now I can say, every second of those 1 hour and 45 minutes was worth it.
The songs are sweet and happy without becoming silly and innocent, That sweet sound explodes into an incendiary chorus that makes every particle of your body want to shake.
The closest experience that is similar to listening to this album It would be like going into a nightclub inside a gothic church, the dancing and at the same time somber atmosphere gives this feeling, overdose to the sound of synth wave, of a terrible dance in decadence.
Throughout the album's journey, going through the most upbeat, dark and experimental songs, the entire lyric revolves around of a love, or rather an obsession, the kind of love that waits for you while watches without been noticed.
While listening to the album I found myself thinking about the way we listen to them and consume art in general, The conclusion regarding this is that, particularly, the way I consume art revolves around like, dislike and experience.
Based on this analysis method, Based on this logic, I decided to give it a small rating of 2, the work is pleasant especially at the beginning, several experiments and syncretisms with Mexican and Latin music in general, but, leaving aside exoticism for the simple fact that it is peculiar, personally, this album didn’t awaken anything in me, neither good nor bad, much less a great experience, it is just passable, pleasant.
Only to conclude is it necessary to evidence that in its historical and regional context, because it is Latin and not hegemonic, when compared to the big names in British and American psychedelic and hard rock, the band made an excellent work taking of already established rock and Abraxing it, creating an impressive syncretism.
I can confess that I didn't have I had a lot of expectations, due to the music being seen as simple and without many variations between them I thought it would be tiring to listen to it, but Its dynamism and variations within possibilities were truly a surprise.
For sure my favorite classic punk album
An album that without a doubt ranks 5, for me, the best of the "golden era" of gangsta rap. The piece can capture with precision the sound and struggle of New York, bringing with it elements of jazz, R&B, soul and gospel; one of the most interesting and rich lyrics I ever seem.
