1001 Albums Summary

While not a Beatles fan, I appreciate their artistic abilities and their willingness to depart from the musical status quo at the time. The album is well done, and while void of the original pops and crackles of vinyl production at the time, it is faithful to the musical qualities that define the Beatles.

Distinctive harmonies by this group, but I don't recognize many of their songs.

This is a rap album with the exception of one song, and has no "key" since there are no musical notes. That being said, "My Adidas" was cute/interesting.

Blues album with a couple of instrumentals.

Nice beat, but lack of lyric creativity. Can't understand most of what he says, but he keeps repeating the same line ad nauseum anyway, so who cares. Can't believe this one is in a top 1000 list; must be listed in the high 900s.

If a studio-generated album results in a singer sounding this "pitchy", I would hate to hear a live version!

Good, smooth R&B album. Nice vocals, subtle beat, and no bad language.

One of the all-time greats. Super rock album.

Typical John Lennon; smooth listening though his voice is not that great. He could have left "Oh Yoko" out of this album.

Reminiscent of Beatles; good listening, the instrumentals are good but don't drown the lyrics. Many song with only guitar accompaniment. Good voice quality; lyrics can be understood. Must be about 15 songs on this album.
