Space orchestral with R&B; not my favorite artist but I appreciate the theme, the narrative of the love between the android and a human.

Oh man, blues is so much my thing. I know B. B. King is considered one of the greatest blues musicians of all time: probably the reason why I didn't listen to him as much as other blues guys because I considered him too "mainstream." My mistake. This is a great album. Another reason to visit Chicago.

“Breezy feeling” is what I get from listening to this album? My dad’s favorite band. :)

Amazing. Never listened to this album in full before. Perfect timing too, just watched the concert film Monterey Pop for the first time, entranced with Jimi lighting his guitar on fire.

Fun, especially since I live in San Francisco, so it was nice to hear a Bay Area favorite + the San Francisco Symphony.

I'm not crazy about Depeche Mode but I see how they were such a big influence for synth pop; the beats are really good.

Favorite song: Who Says a Funk Band Can't Play Rock?! My partner wonders why their album "Uncle Jam Wants You" wasn't selected instead for this project.

My favorite album so far. I thought Sam Cooke was good, in studio, but he's wondrous in a live performance. His singing is so throaty and effortless, like a songbird. Had to look up The Harlem Square Club, was surprised it was in Miami.

I hear so much about Thundercat, so I was excited to listen to this album. The experience was so-so, can't say he's somebody I'd want to listen to all the time.

I like Tha Shiznit! But the rest of the album surprisingly didn't catch my ear. Sort of disappointed, given that Snoop Dogg is one of the OGs of hip hop.

Jim Morrison's voice is great: I love that growl of his. You can't go wrong with The Doors - very bluesy.
