1001 Albums Summary

Listening to Pink Floyd for the first time while being very much aware of their existence and influence was akin to uncovering the roots of beloved memes when discovering a new show. The instrumental opening segments of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" were a welcoming start to the day, though there's still something about the very airy, almost dry timbre of the vocals that comes off as harsh to my ears. As I explored the album further, "Have a Cigar" notably showcased an increase in richness, with the bass adding a much needed counterpart to the vocals. Overall, an enjoyable album but probably not one that'll stay in my rotation for too long.

Really enjoyed the introduction track and the instrumentals, but personally not a fan of their voice. It comes off as a bit shrill to me.

All for a good funky groove, but the vocals are not for me. Made it about halfway through the album before turning it off.
