1001 Albums Summary

This was fine. I liked the production and the extra instrumentation, and I like Reed's voice, but the song writing didn't really grab me.

Filled with standout lines and killer beats, but just too long for its own good, as is common with this era of rap.

Game show/sitcom intro sounding music. A bit of jazz fusion thrown in the mix. Feels like it would be fun live but this just isn't the kinda stuff I can listen to a whole album of. Which is strange, since on paper, this is my kind of 70s music. The end of the title track was a definite highlight.

Such a fun album, but not their best work.
