1984 is Van Halen at its best. Good guitar, good Synth, and of course David Lee Roth. If Roth stayed the course the groups success would have rivaled if not surpassed what was achieved by Hagar

I recognize his talent, but not a fan.

Despite not being the first, imo this the first rap album that checks all the boxes. Solid rhymes/hooks, solid scratching, solid rock/rap hybrid. Lyrics embrace every person, not gangs, or agendas.

Solid album. First time hearing it in its entirety.
