Epochal, transformative records that brought hip hop and rock together in a way that is still relevant today, with timeless tracks like It's Tricky, You Be Illin and of course Walk This Way. Four stars because there is some filler alongside those classics.

The audience watching this at the Newport Folk Festival must have been like, WTF.

Amazing how this record encapsulated who Tom Petty and his band were. And American Girl is one of the best songs ever written.

My favorite record of all time and probably the best expression of Brice's contribution to rock music Pete Townshend put it best: "When Bruce Springsteen sings on [Darkness], that's not about "fun", that's fucking triumph, man !"
