1001 Albums Summary

Pretty good. Never listened to much Miles Davis (or jazz in general), but I could see how some progressive rock bands from the 60s/70s may have drawn inspiration from this album.

As somebody who frequently claims that Australia has the best music scene in the world, this album is meh. Maybe it’s because I prefer Bon Scott or maybe it’s because Neil Cicierega’s “AC/VC” forever changed how I hear “Back in Black”, but this album is pretty overrated imo.

I mostly listened to this in the car and, while I’m sure the lyrics are probably pretty good, all of Bob Dylan’s songs sound mostly the same. May need to give it a relisten when I can actually read the lyrics.

Admittedly, the only song I know by this band is Epic, which is kinda overrated imo, but the rest of this album isn’t too bad. Particularly enjoyed the War Pigs cover
