1001 Albums Summary

Sounds very theatrical, I don't understand a word, but it feels like acts on a play. The orchestra sounds very clean and sharp, it has a really nice production. Unbelievable it was recorded live in 1964

Not a huge fan of this one, I was excited to listen to chicago as I remember seeing their logo everywhere when growing up. But I didn't find anything interesting to me in this album. I'll revisit it later and see if I wasn't paying attention

Very nice album, starts very upbeat, sounds kind of like 90s indie rock something sonic youth and ends up a bit more quiet, the last song reminded me like how animals from pink floyd ends, giving it a nice quiet closing. I would listen to it again

Quite a nice surprise. Never heard of Frank Black before, and to be honest I judged the album cover and title too soon. Playing the album and being hit with some very nice 90s alternative rock. Went to google Frank immediately just to find out he was the pixies frontman so it explains the sound very well. I would definitely listen to this album again

I never heard this album before. I'm not a huge rap or hip hop fan, and to be honest I found this album very basic and inferior in the musical aspect. I guess he's a good lyricist, but his themes sound very dumb and immature. I'm glad I listened to it because it's part of the history but not my thing

It sounds interesting, kind of a mix between folk and grunge, like a mix between hole and Joan Baez, sounds kind of like a watered down Alanis Morrisette, just not my cup of tea. Sounds a bit too repetitive and lacks innovation

Well produced, it starts strong, then it starts sounding a bit too repetitive. I listened to it a couple of times, there's something in it. It is a good record, some rythm variety here and there. I can listen some Bob Dylan influences, even sounds a bit 80's at some point.
