In Our Heads
Hot ChipWas skeptical at first, but it really grew on me. At one point - night and day, and flutes - i started dancing around the room. Funky and groovy.

Bold intro, but they figured it out. Must listen to Jennifer on acid. Trying to find out what made this influential, possibly all of the experimental sounds. Same year release as dark side of the moon. giggly smile good but too damn long. To enjoy this album you require a double dose of shrooms or acid Actually so bad I don’t think they understand music, but respect to them
Had me at London calling amazing all around album Jimmy jazz is a great way to break up the hard rock and it softens in the next few songs So well balanced between soft and hard Lost in the supermarket And a reggae alt twist after clampdown is fire Revolution rock to bring back the reggae vibe Wrong em boyo is a nice peppy catchy song
Omg a whole orchestra , musical masterpiece. Actually so beautiful love album almost bringing me to tears. Not a big fan of the last song it was too religious and about god but sounded good
Honestly stopped listening after the 3rd song
All time sound and rhythm, I’m a sucker for live jazz, this doesn’t tingle the same as real sound and I bet this is better on vinyl. But I love the crunchy sounds they create in the middle songs
Really fun album. Really inspired the punk rock scene today. I hear their sounds in green day and alike bands. Nothing crazy special, i prefer London calling as you get some more variation. For this type of album where it’s hard-punk-rock mostly they hit the song/album length right at 35 Mins as any more would be in excess. 3.5/5
Great listen on a road trip, driving through Virginia, Maryland and Delaware felt like a perfect fit even tho it’s not the Deep South. Rhythm/beat is consistent which I did enjoy on a whole listen through.
Not a bad album but I got a little bored. The jazz vibe held me in there but I had to skip some songs half way thru. Otherwise he has a good voice, the songs are balanced very well and the sax was a nice plus when they added it.
Feels like a watching a musical. Very entertaining. Bruce Springsteen and Billy joel vibes, same era so makes sense. Great balance with softer and harder sounds, but did get slightly repetitive. I would LOVE to see a Styx album soon. Lot of these are oldies good but cheesy.
Mid. Sad boy alt rock. Honesty the lyrics were funny sometimes. But really just feels like a heart broken dude singing some BS with some good instruments behind him
Amazing rainy day album, sounds so familiar tho I’ve never heard of them. Rock/indie vibes. Something unsettling, yet so comforting that’s created in this album. Lots of dissonance which you don’t get to hear much and is also very hard to do properly. It’s the stuff that tickles your brain in all the right wrong-ways. I think I like it extra cause I love sci-fi movies and a lot of the great ones from recently feature music similar to this. Type of dystopian feel
I mean it’s jimi on the guitar… what can I say. Great album, little wing is my favorite and has always been. Nothing stands out crazy to me tho
Surpsringly I didn’t like this album too much. What I can say is that it has all of the daft punk sounds I know and love, but it’s just not as good as what they did later on. Because of this I give it a 3/5.
