Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Mar 18 2024

Your dad’s best friend thinks this is the greatest album ever made. It’s good because it’s Bob Dylan but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to listen to any of the songs besides rolling stone again. Favorite song(that’s not rolling stone) was tombstone blues.

Sunday At The Village Vanguard by Bill Evans Trio
Mar 19 2024

Album is all peaches and cream daddy-o. Makes me feel like the coolest cat at the malt parlor. Jazz is awesome because it’s just jam bands for old people. Favorite song-Jade visions

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips
Mar 20 2024

It’s always a treat when I get an excuse to listen to one of my favorite albums. From a fun era where weird experimental indie rock became more mainstream. My favorite song is the albums namesake which I don’t feel like typing out. Shout out to Guardians of the Galaxy 3 for making Do You Realize become somewhat popular again.

Solid Air by John Martyn
Mar 21 2024

I was ready to give this album a 1 at first. A very slow start in my opinion with some interesting vocal choices. Not a big fan of the whole moaning mumbling moodiness he’s going for. However was pleasantly surprised by the second half with Dreams by the Sea definitely being a highlight. I enjoy the jazzier parts of the album and less the bluesy. Will definitely revisit that one song but outside of that will most likely not be listening to much John Martyn in the future. If I could give it a 2.9 i would but i didn’t enjoy it enough to justify a 3.

LP1 by FKA twigs
Mar 22 2024

If I was opening up a brand new H & M at a local mall and was looking for some music to play inside of it, this would be a 5. While I can appreciate the production value of the album I have no desire to listen to any of it ever again. This is white woman music and I am not a white woman. The only time I can consider ever listening to this album again is if I picked up some artsy coed and she put it on her JBL speaker while I am balls deep in her.

Home Is Where The Music Is by Hugh Masekela
Mar 25 2024

Objectively a great jazz album that I enjoyed listening too. Put it on, on the way home from work at night and felt like a brooding noir detective. Last song sucked ass though. Would I go out of my way to listen to the album again? No. Did enjoy listening too it? Yes.

The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
Mar 26 2024

All 80s British rock sounds the same to me. The tune itself is generally upbeat but the lyrics are them complaining about how the Duke of Canterbury sneezed or something. The Smiths made some of the better 80s British rock. I prefer when morrisey went solo. Solid move to end the album on a song about fat chicks and their moms. Favorite Song - There is a light that never goes out Least Favorite Song- some girls are bigger then others

I Against I by Bad Brains
Mar 27 2024

Just not my genre of music. This album was made to be a Tony Hawk Underground soundtrack.

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Mar 28 2024

Fun 90s rock. Alright is a classic. Found myself enjoying Lenny the most. Not a life changing album but will listen again.

Psychocandy by The Jesus And Mary Chain
Mar 29 2024

Solid three for me, like most songs but there were a few duds . I’ve heard just like honey a lot and it was cool to hear the album it came from. Listened to this while driving to Florida and my step mom gave it a hard 0. Said it quote “sounded like when a microphone gets to close to a speaker at an assembly and lots of yelling.” I liked it.

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
Apr 05 2024

Classic rap album that white people love. 99% chance you will hear at least one of these songs at a basement frat party. I always say “My Adidas” when i put my adidas on.
