1001 Albums Summary

Personally did not enjoy this puppy. I respect the vision but it just didn’t tickle my cojones in the right spot. In my opinion, the best Track was May You Never. Whole album had a cool mix of elements from different genres, but I wasn’t a fan of the style of singing. Would go hard in a late night coffee shop for sure.

2.6 As a fan of electronic music, I appreciated some of the elements involved. Granular synths, glitchy off beat drums caught my ears for sure. Did not love the vocals on this album again. Just felt flat for the most part. 2.6 may even be a little generous but I did like the track ‘Two Weeks’ produced by the legend Clams Casino. Will probably never listen to the album again, but that’s alright I guess.

Enjoyed it in the beginning and then it somewhat lost me from middle-end. Liked the vibe of it for sure though 3.1/5

Love me some classic Brit pop. Gonna go 3.6/5 on this one. Some songs were a miss for me but overall I enjoyed it and will come back to a selection of songs. Obviously ‘Alright’ is the most well known track on there. I’d say my favorite was probably Time.

I listened to about 75% of the album. Vote probably shouldn’t count but I enjoyed it a lot. Classic 70s rock and I instantly added it to the library. I will go back and listen to it entirely. For now, 3.5/5

Sunday bloody sundayyyyy Wish they randomly added this album to my ipod back in the day 3.4/5

Took me 4 days to finally finish this. Blitzkrieg Bop is a classic. Enjoyed the whole album really. It seems it was a bit ahead of its time then 3.4/5

Started off hot but lost me towards the middle and end. Some of the lyrics made me laugh. Probably won’t listen again besides the popular songs 2.8/5 Goldman probably loved it though.

I listened to a little more than half of the album. I had heard good things about portishead in the past. I didn’t dislike like the album but I definitely expected to like it much more than I did. Might dive a little deeper into their discography. 3.3/5
