Pretty good album. Great Instrumentations and backing vocals. Though it would be funkier though. Harmonica on track 2 is great so are the female vocals. Favorite Songs: Stand! Somebody's watching you Sex Machine

1st listen thoughts: First 6 songs are great, second half of the album isn't as good. Really like the synths and the 80s sound. Very good album, tied with Elliot Smith for my favorite so far. Listened 3 times like it more each time. Her voice is very unique, the album cover is great, production is really good. Overall really good album. 7.3/10 Favorite songs: Time After Time All Through the Night She Bop Yeah Yeah

Marquee Moon by Television

First Impressions: Amazing production. Guitars sound amazing on every song, love the riffs. Drums and bass sound really nice as well. Beautiful ending. Sometimes the vocals are a little harsh though, and the lyrics and pretty interesting. Very unique, I've never heard anything like it, the melodies are very creative and strangely catchy. Sound kind of reminds me of Joy Division and Talking heads. Will relisten before rating. 2nd Listen: The vocals have grown on me, the guitars sound even better on a second listen. Seems like all the songs have so much moving parts. Elevation has an amazing riff, reminds me of a song can't figure it out though. I like Guiding Light a lot more on the second listen very beautiful and groovy song. Venus is very interesting lyrically, Prove it has a great grove. Torn curtain is an amazing outro the guitar in the last 30 seconds is beautiful. Overall really good album, great melodies and guitar work, unique vocals, I can see how it was so influence. Love the part in Friciton when he says "How does a snake get out if it's skin" and the guitar solo that follows. Standout Tracks: Friction Marquee Moon (Great Riff + Bassline) (Love the opening line and the way he sings it) Elevation (Incredible Riff) Torn Curtain

Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Apr 04 2024

I was literally just looking at this album before I came on the website. Is this thing stalking me? Basically half acoustic, half electric. I prefer the electric side. The bass on this album is amazing. Honestly didn't like it as much as I thought I would. Listened twice. Rating: 6.7-7/10 Favorite Songs: Cowgirl In the Sand Down By the River Round & Round
