1001 Albums Summary

One moment you sitting in a jazz club and one moment you are enjoying even the smallest rhytmic from every arsenal of instruments while enjoying the rustic vocals. Great album and great experience .

I heavily favour the Parliament side of the Parliament-Funkadelic coin, but with that being said this album is a great one if you like 10-minuts guitarsolos and instruments overlapping heavily. The 7-songs album for me was kinda hard to get through, but in the end I liked it more and more. I liked the roughness in the vocals and the edginess of the drums. Overall experience was good, and I see why it has made the list, but 10-minuts guitarsolos is a couple minuts too much for my style.

What a fun, heartwarming album. Johnny Cash humor combined with a lovely audience just come together for a wonderfull, cozy 35 minuts of really good music!

The album as a whole sounds ok, but at the same time it also sounds incredibly boring. It doesn't sound like there is any passion behind it and the vocals are tired and without much charisma. However, it is a well-produced album, and in 2009/2010 we were obsessed with boring and sad albums, but this is just another one of that kind. Not an album to talk about

All right. Overall this albums didn't suit me very well, but Gimme All Your Lovin' and Sharp Dressed Man is two very very good songs. But that's it. The slower songs is feeling meningless and is dragging the hell of anybody who tries to enjoy something. I had to stop writing when I noticed the exhausted guitar on Need You Tonight still was playing after five minutes.

What a great album. Just some good freaking music. The album is only 37 minutes long, but I wish it was longer.

It's a phenomenal album with some of John's best songwriting, but damn it is slow and boring in the long run. Would I hear it again? Sure Will it be in the next 2-5 years? No.
