1001 Albums Summary

Took a while to grow on me but this is pretty good. There were some really annoying songs but overall very nice. Lover, You Should've Come Over and So Real were my personal favourites.

MAGGOT BRAIN Maggot Brain - I think this song is very nice. The guitar goes rather hard, indubitably. The words at the start are also very provoking. 5/5 Can You Get To That - Very funky, makes me super happy and hopeful to be honest, despite the lyrics being quite the opposite. Really living up to their name with this one. 4.5/5 Hit It and Quit It - Please don't shake it all around like that. 4/5 You And Your Folks, Me And My Folks - Yeah yeah yeah this song is pretty good, nice positive commentary yeah yeah yeah. 4/5 Super Stupid - This one is a little bit irritating honestly, also too long for what it is. I still really like the guitar and keyboard though. 3/5 Back In Our Minds - The jaw harp hurts my ears I do not appreciate this. 1/5 Wars of Armageddon - Why did they do this, it makes me sad. I do not like the screechiness or all the speaking. 2/5 OVR: 3/5 I feel like it ends way too poorly.

So Far Away - I do not need to hear this again. Too long. Gets really boring after listening to like 1/3 of it. 2/5 Money For Nothing - I really could use a custom kitchen delivery rn. Iconic ass song, kind of gets old veeeery fast tho. 8 minutes of the same tune being repeated over and over is not so fun anymore. 2.5/5 Walk Of Life - Super iconic once again, idk about this tho, sounds pretty much exactly the same as Money For Nothing. Does not have action or motion. At least its a reasonable length. 3/5 Your Latest Trick - Brother got rolled tbh. I like the blues jazzy sort of aspect hear, very different from the last 3 tracks. 6 minutes is too long, but also kind of lets the brass pop off which i can appreciate. 3/5 Why Worry - Very comforting and chill, perchance. 8 minutes again, enjoyment turns into boredom I feel like the start could be shorter. Too many points where nothing is happening at all, if you skipped those parts it would probably be waaay more enjoyable. 3/5 Ride Across The River - The guitar in the middle I like. The jungle-y tone of this song feels really out of place, it feels way too mixed between two genres that shouldn't be mixed. Too slow and long (why 7 minutes), I don't think they properly achieved what they aimed for with this. 2/5 The Man's Too Strong - Reminds me of Simon and Garfunkel. I really like when they up the intensity it sounds awesome, maybe a bit jarring but I think it fits reasonably well. The rest of the song is pretty forgettable unfortunately. 3.5/5 One World - Is this guy poor? Depressed? Stupid? I enjoyed this regardless. Way too generic as an 80s rock song tho. 3.5/5 Borthers In Arms - The start pulls you in. Guitar around 50s gets it started up nicely. I think they should have just released an instrumental album at this point. The guitar goes so hard. Very peaceful. Wowza's, this is a real finisher. Very melancholic one might say. 5/5 OVR: 3/5

This Is - yeah its an intro fs Freedom - The beat is good, good song about true freedom. 4/5 If You Only Knew - I really like the flute thingy and keyboard. Good affront on prejudice I think. 4/5 Break - So many references. Chorus is nice. 4/5 React - is this the real break? A Day At The Races - the flow on this is really nice. I feel like the guitar adds something really nice on this. Jordan shade unnecessary. 4.5/5 Remember His Name - damn. 5/5 What's Golden - Just very good. 4.5/5 Thin Line - Hmm idk about this lesson 3.5/5 After School Special - Yeah. Give the kid a beat wtf. 4/5 High Fidelity - Silly ass beat. 3.5/5 Sum Of Us - I LOVE PROTEST AND NOT UNFAIRLY JUDGING PEOPLE AND HEALING RAHHHH. 4.5/5 DDT - Is this the real break?? One Of Them - Very aggressive idk how to feel about this one. 3/5 Hey - this one just osunds fucking stupid i dont really like this. The beats okay thats about it. 2/5 I Am Somebody - Very uplifting maybe. 1:20 - 1:30 kind of pissed me off for some reason idk. The beat is a bit annoying to me as well. 3/5 Acetate Prophets - You can not just sample shit for 5 minutes an then get some reggae as shit on this. No. 2.5/5

Deny Everything - the vocals. not a good start 1/5 I Just Want Some Skates - sure this is a bit better 2/5 Beverly Hills - All over the place on this man wtf. I fucking hate these lyrics. 2/5 Operation - He does not want his reproductive organ to work I think. 5000/5 Back Against The Wall - Fuck the vocals are so grating this album fucking sucks fuck you fuck these guys I hate this. Only saving grace is there is a bit of fun on this 1.5/5 Wasted - Actual troglodyte delivery on "I was a surfer" 1/5 Behind The Door - This is actually maybe a bit better. Nvm what was with that droning noise. 1/5 World Up My Ass - womp womp move on. 1.5/5 Paid Vacation - I can really appreciate this one. Definitely my favourite song so far. Still these vocals fuck you you jerks. 2.5/5 Don't Care - I care about this song in a bad way. He sounds a bit like Trump in this. 1.5/5 Live Fast Die Young - Yeah sure whatever you say 2/5 What's Your Problem - The start of this I actually enjoy the vocals. Holy the switch is appreciable as well. Some freaky ass lyrics tho. 3/5 Group Sex - What the flip. Yeah this is a song. 1.5/5 Red Tape - Rah let's revolt raaaah. Fuck democracy raaaah. 2/5 They have a style that I'm not really a fan of. I feel like it was maybe growing on me at the end. Reminds me of Jeff Rosenstock only 50 trillion times worse. Glad it's short because anything more than 20 minutes and I would probably never be seen again. I don't even know anymore.
