1001 Albums Summary

There's not a single bad track on this album, but Vedder's vocals are carrying most of the weight. His voice and melodies pair so well it will almost put you in a trance, until a mediocre guitar solo pops up or you focus too hard on the drums. The outro was the most gripping part, especially the hidden track.

Each song is great but also overstay their welcome. Nearly a third of this is filler.

Each song on this album, with maybe the exception of "I Hung My Head" and "Personal Jesus", has unmatched delivery. 80% of this album is covers and yet Cash manages to make each song uniquely his. You can feel the grief. Heartbreaking and masterful.

You Know, I never really considered myself a fan of Daft Punk, but now I think I get it. There is such a vast array of influences snd styles in this album. Repetition comes with the genre and is to be expected so that doesn't bother me. Plus they usually change it up in slight but interesting ways to keep you engaged. The only problem I had with the album was some of the intros were a bit long.

I've always been a big fan of compositions where everyone seems to be playing something different, yet they somehow work together masterfully. That sort of craft and performance will forever be impressive. This made a certified sax hater into an occasional enjoyer.

Fun and easy to listen to, but after the first two songs you get bored because every track is the same exact formula.

The music in this is great and I appreciate the range of different genres they can pull off, but the production of this is pretty awful. I'm not sure if the production was done like this one purpose (for vibes/atmosphere) but either way I believe it takes away from the enjoyment.

Easy to listen to and sounds pretty good for a live album. Apparently the entire album may have only been drums and audience from a live recoding and the rest was done in studio. So it's pretty much a best of album. Filled with sax solos and guitar solos galore.
