The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Jun 03 2024

Don't feel his voice, but nonetheless the album excited me. Those intense sounds and extreme and aprupt changes between hard and soft made it a crazy ride.

What's Going On by Marvin Gaye
Jun 06 2024

Have listend to the album previously, but not very attentive. Now, for the first time I dedicated myself fully to the listening expierience, lay down, put on headphones and closed my eyes and brother, brother it was beautiful. So many things to discover, so many different elements in the instrumentation, that I haven't noticed before, maybe because the sound is so warm and smooth and perfectly fused together and the same goes for the album itself. More than once I wasn't sure and had to check, if a new song just started.

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly
Jun 07 2024

Overall, I thought it was okay, but not very exciting. It was rather certain parts of songs that I liked, and I particularly liked the end of Termination.

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Jun 08 2024

It's my first time really listening to Bob Dylan. I mainly listen to music for the vibe and therefore I'm usually more focused on the instrumentation and the arrangement of a song. Bob Dylan's music always sounded a bit boring to me and didn't catch me. Now, paying attention to his lyrics, showed me a new side of his art. I really enjoyed his poetic way of telling stories. The words he chooses and the way he connects them sounded really beautiful to me.

Street Life by The Crusaders
Jun 10 2024

A bit too much of a cheesy jazz-funk bar feel for me.

If You're Feeling Sinister by Belle & Sebastian
Jun 14 2024

I'm quite impressed with how the first song develops. Don't feel most of the rest of the album.

Be by Common
Jun 15 2024

I listened to the album a lot in my late teens and still listen to it from time to time. I love the beats. Such a good mix of oldschool sampling and more modern production. Creates a nice mood for me. And I like Common's voice and his way of rapping. I haven't paid much attention to the lyrics so far and now I've found that he's very good at telling stories that create very vivid images in my head.

Ys by Joanna Newsom
Jun 16 2024

Haven't heard from her before. The album made me curious. Didn't find time to get into it. Will do in the future.
