fun awesome wholesome dance-pop boppers. ya ya babyyyy. GODDD the raw guttural gurgling in her screaming vocals elevates each song it's used in to a different PLAIN of emotional impactfulness. basically she's MOTHER!

OH MY GOD it's like I’m hearing music for the first time. I CAN'T STOP DANCING! DON'T FIGHT IT! FEEL IT!!!! I don't know how to twist but sam I swear I'm trying my best. how does one not move their entire body snapping their fingers and tapping their feet to all of these songs.. it's transfixing.. I feel the 60's mysticism of letting the music sweep you away from all of your worries and up into a cloud of pure glory. Bring It on Home to Me has the most passionately in-love vocals of all time probably. this thing is a masterwork.

perfect album to start your day with by blaring it from your living room speakers at full volume, opening your curtains, and letting the sunshine hit your face... but then by the time the album ends you're on the floor crying in a ball. awesome record, just not one I felt demanded many further re-listens

I might be spoiled with Beastie Boys' approach to the whole "I’m pretending I’m a badass cowboy criminal guy," since they take it to a very self-aware, exaggerated, and comical level. when Mr. Dylan here does the same sort of thing but without that level of laughing-at-yourself (aside from the opening of Bob Dylan's 115th Dream literally being laughter), it falls stale for me. always hard to make your mind separate classics from the line of work that followed them and not instead see the classic as just another album within that genre
