Groovin' by The Young Rascals

New kid to the group. Hi guys! Seems a mix of styes across songs. Some blues influence, some 60s West Coast reverb in the guitars, some East Coast beach music. Find Somebody is the standout with that first note evoking U2’s Desire, the Safaries, or the opening scene of a Tarantino movie

Playing With Fire by Spacemen 3

Can appreciate its meditative qualities. Might have even more with some salicylic aid; but, all in all, not my mushroom cup of tea.

All Mod Cons by The Jam
Jun 18 2024

Sharp social commentary and catchy pop melodies like in “Mr Clean”. Tracks like "Down in the Tube Station at Midnight" are a treat. Has a punk energy in the guitar and drums and new wave lyrics. Guess mod is now school. It's a standout album.

Rock Bottom by Robert Wyatt
Jun 21 2024

meh. too mellow for my mood. wold br good background music

Come Find Yourself by Fun Lovin' Criminals
Jun 24 2024

we all know Scooby Snacks but wow the rest of the album is pretty darn good. 90s meets funk meets rap. Digging it.

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Jun 25 2024

Back to black is soulful and almost makes a jazz fan out of an anything-but-jazz listener like me.

Unhalfbricking by Fairport Convention

Folksy. A few good songs. like Sandy Denny’s voice especially in Percy’s Song

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Jul 01 2024

Southern man might not need him around, but I’m Neil Young fan.

Blur by Blur

Part woo-hoo, more boo-hoo. After Song2 this LP was a let down.

for fun I let AI write my review: MGMT's "Oracular Spectacular" is a vibrant, psychedelic journey that seamlessly blends indie rock with electronic influences. Its standout tracks like "Time to Pretend" and "Kids" showcase the band's knack for catchy hooks and thought-provoking lyrics, making it a defining album of the late 2000s indie scene.

Dig Your Own Hole by The Chemical Brothers
Jul 08 2024

electric grove. Kinda OK. do i chill to it or dance at the rave?

Maverick A Strike by Finley Quaye
Jul 09 2024

I shot the sheriff, but I was aiming for this guy

It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Jul 15 2024

Always loved Karen O’s voice and that indie sound with buzzing guitar licks. Their breakout hit Heads Will Roll is iconic marvel. I found most every song on the LP compelling. No wonder Spin rated the album top 2 of that year
