Enjoyed the album. It's dreamy. Some of the cowboy stuff feels a bit odd/dated, but I had the feeling that I was attending a hippy church service somewhere in Appalachia. Well composed and paced in a way that many records do not consider today. Beautiful vocals and harmonies.
All the feels. I bought this CD back in 2004, possibly in Virginia. Really well composed. Remember thinking the album art was pretty cutting edge. Lyrics touch on a lot of themes of pain and loss that I find relatable. Guitar, keys, and synth work (is that what I'm hearing) are pretty on point. Will always be a standout record for me.
Her voice is beautiful and haunting. Honestly, started to bug me by about track 7. Still, an album with this level of composition, mood, & vibe seems like a lost relic. A beautiful effort by Nico.
