Fisherman's Blues by The Waterboys
Jul 11 2024

It’s a nice album. Well done. It made me want to drink beer to it, which I then did. Unfortunately, I got drunk and decided to make tacos and then put on a mariachi band. I reckon there’s a 1001 better albums. Three stars, because it was downhill after the first song (Which is an all time favourite) and I lack any melancholy feelings about what I was doing when it came out. I was in a Metallica phase, and for that I will not apologise.

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Jul 12 2024

My thumb got sore from skipping tracks. 1 star. “No studio for you. Come back in one year!” Soup Nazi

Jul 13 2024

It’s strange how much of a difference there is between how much I liked it when it came out, and now. It aged like a cask of Fruity Lexia. 3 stars because I once got laid because I played the intro to clocks at a hotel lobby once.

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
Jul 14 2024

At first, it seemed like a whole new Bowie album to me because I’d never heard it before. Then, Jean Genie came on and then all I could think about was what a shit album it was with only one good song. So I thought that maybe it was because I was familiar with only one song that I liked it. I then listened to the album again, and have now put the other songs into the category of forgettable. I could hear them again for sure and still recognise them as Bowie, but still think of them as lacklustre at best. Maybe I’m not as big of a fan as I thought. That technically makes me not a fan. I now like the song Jean Genie less too. Thanks. Way to ruin a good song Bowie, don’t do it again. 2 stars, and if I hear it again I’ll vote it 1 star. 1 dark star.

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Jul 16 2024

I was immediately and delightfully thrown into a soundtrack suitable for a montage in a rom com, and with each new song entered a new phase of an imaginary relationship. I give it 4 stars for the beautiful musicality of it all, and the fact that I got to pretend that I was Tom Hanks for a while, rolling on the grass in some park with a beautiful but socially awkward female lead.
