Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
Jul 21 2024

Rap is not generally my thing. I really do like how the lyrics move between the two people, it makes the songs feel very dynamic. The second song is a classic is it not? I the part with Aerosmith blends in surprisingly well (but perhaps I am just biased to Aerosmith). However, I do find the heavily beat focused backing just repetitive and headache inducing. I found the beatboxing stuff in hit it run and son of a buried to be very odd and off putting (too panty). The album chilled out a bit more in the middle.

Toys In The Attic by Aerosmith
Jul 21 2024

Having already listened to an Aerosmith album and really loved it, I was very excited to listen to this album. It did not disappoint. More led zeppelin-like than I anticipated.

Reggatta De Blanc by The Police
Jul 22 2024

Overall, I really enjoyed this album. I think it fell much more naturally, like water slipping through your fingers, than the other police album I have listened to. I think message in a bottle was just dying for some harmonies on the chorus. I thought it’s alright for you sounded very RHCP. A bit dull in some places.

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Jul 23 2024

Coffee shop music drudgery. I was bored after the first song. She does have a nice tone to her voice though.

Elvis Presley by Elvis Presley
Jul 24 2024

I live Elvis so damn much, and this album might just be his best - filled with energy and rock n roll vigor. My favourite track is blue suede shoes. Vocally I think Elvis does improve later in his career, however I still love his voice in this album.
