1001 Albums Summary

Very punchy and fun songs. I don't think I'll be coming back to this album very often except when I'm in cool good mood. My favorite song was Police and Thieves.

Street Life has a really unique sounding opening that I enjoyed. But overall, I'm not a huge fan of jazz. I don't think I'm into it enough to appreciate what this album is and haven't really developed the ear for it. So listening to this album was a bit tiring at times. I did get some nostalgia from it though. It reminded me of late night drives we took when I was a kid and the music the live artist that used to play in Downtown Disney. I don't think I'll be coming back to this album anytime soon, but I'm glad I listened.

This was definitely more in line with what I listen to. I appreciated aot of the weirder sounds in the songs. And I have heard of Beck before so I thought I'd like this more than I did. Maybe I need another listen but there's nothing here that stood out to me.

I really love the songs on this album. They all have this really gritty sound to them but are so kind of catchy in grimy way. I don't know how to explain it but songs like Karma Police and Let Down give me that same raw, heavy feeling as 2:45 AM from Elliott Smith. Great album.

Already listened to this album. But it's the first full album I listened to from Kendrick and I love it. I really like TPAB but this one to me has a lot more relisten value. It also has some sentimental value to me. My favorite is debatably good kid or sing about me. Great album and one of my favorites.

I enjoyed this album. It was slow and I feel like I wasn't really in the right mood to be listening to these typa songs right now. But I will definitely be revisiting this album another time. Overall enjoyed the sound of the album too.

I really enjoyed this album. It has that slow feel like Elliott Smith but a lot more pop-ish, which I feel might get tiring after a while. But there were a few standouts like Birds that I think I'll be adding to my playlist. Overall enjoyed this a lot and will definitely revisit some songs.
