1001 Albums Summary

Still one of the greatest running starts to an album, first four tracks are brilliant and peak U2. The rest of the album holds up well too, in mu opinion.

Love Muddy. This was my first listen mind. Stunning performances from start to end. Got My Mojo Working is a stand out.

Is Trent okay? Hah. I listened to this not too long back for the first time whilst doing a run of artist's second albums. Really enjoyed it then, and on relisten still enjoy it. Obviously Hurt and Closer are stand outs, but the whole album has a real cohesion, even if it is a bleak outlook.

Beatles third best album. Would be completely flawless if not for the last two tracks. Try as I might, I just cannot sit through Revolution #9 and Goodnight is just too much dreariness, especially following the aforementioned track. Both discs start off brilliantly though, Birthday has been a family tradition, played as loud as possible to whichever family member it may happen to be their day! Its also the album where George Harrison finally got to shine properly, While My Guitar Gently Weeps is stunning.

Love, love this album! From start to finish, groovy, funky, powerful.
