This introduction is transcendent. It feels like entering a new world or something. Overall I loved how structured the album was, it had a clear beginning and end with the last track. My fave song off this was Have a Cigar. Felt very bluesy which I love.
Not my thing.
It wasn't for me but I liked the album cover.
I love this album so much- so happy I got to listen to this one today! It's so raw, and I can feel their passion in every song. I think listening from start to finish clued me into the variety of each track, even though I've listened to these songs many times individually. Like... Bring The Ruckus and then ending with Tearz?? There's just so much to work with. Anyways this was banging.
It's a classic- my first time listening to this album as a whole, and I think KW did so well in building the college dropout world through each song on the album. This album is special to me not because of the songs, samples or the lyricism (even though they're so rich!)but because of KW self-belief to even get to that moment when he made this album. The passion is dripping off the body of work, and he sounds like he belongs. It's brilliant and something I'm taking with me when considering my music. The passion has to be pouring and for me, it is.
I will always be in love with Ray Charles and his music. I usually listen to his quieter tracks not featured on this album, so the contrast pleasantly surprised me. This album is full of big bands, brass and vocals which you can't NOT love when Ray Charles is in the mix. He is him.
This album ate.
I respect it. I do
Big up brum (even though I’m mentally checked out of there). Love come on Eileen but not feeling this album as a whole
Loved the first track. Going straight into my playlist. Can see why it's on the list.
Alright
Pretty good
I liked this one actually
