1001 Albums Summary

I was a mere 10 years old when this album came out, but the hits transported me back to a magical time in my life. Listening to the whole album through as an adult was a wildly different experience. While I did really enjoy the songs, especially the lyrics, the skits were really hard for me to get through. For me, they disrupted the flow of the album which I felt was created to be listened all the way through in succession.

This is the kind of music I'm expecting to hear as I'm getting pampered, or as I'm grocery shopping. It's relaxing, Norah Jones has a soothing voice. But it's not giving me what I want when I listen to music - it doesn't capture my attention, it just blends into the background.
