1001 Albums Summary

Overall, I think it was just ok. I can appreciate what others saw in this and in outkast in general. There's something about it, maybe the beats were a bit too chaotic or maybe i don't like andre's voice? the songs were too light, i like more bass? hard to say. there was nothing on this album that will have me coming back for a second listen. maybe as background music at a party.

Thought the whole album was great. The older/simpler sound was fresh for me at this moment in time. also didn't know this was the coconut guy. I will be replaying this one for sure. The opening song really stuck with me.

not digging first song sort of liking the music of the 2nd, not so much the singing/lyrics starting to think outside of the big hits, that i do not like bowie i would skip the songs ive heard so far if not for the overall purpose of this album listening again, i like the music for the most part, but not the vocals ok, valentine's day aint bad, highlight so far boss of me aint bad end of grass grow rocks out but you got to suffer to get there rocket man outro is has a pretty cool guitar sound certain melodies in So She resonate with me, but not as a whole

The beats take a backseat to Chuck D's voice. His lyrics and flow are remarkable. but, that being said, these songs sort of blur together and his flow is mostly same in these songs. done with the album, flav is great hype man, does good with the backup vocals to chuck d. nothing gripped me so hard that i feel like listening to more of them but im glad i put in at least one listen to this album

enjoying the first song, so far this album has been great. lots of great tracks that ive heard before. i can see myself adding it to the collection

i dont like jazz! there were several instances where I could dig the sound, but not enough to not make me wish the album was over sooner. I did it, I don't think i'll ever do so again.
