Imagine by John Lennon
Sep 26 2024

Decent enough album that picks up the quality musically as it goes on, earlier anti war, mostly repetitive lyrics and tracks give way to beautiful and upbeat tracks in the back half.

Document by R.E.M.
Sep 27 2024

It's a perfectly okay album for background noise. The singer is as unimaginative as the rest of the band, with the exception of one song with a sitar. Singer also has a tenuous relationship with timing, forces lines into awkward places, and had an obsession with the word "walking". It's a mainstay in 80% of songs. Singer very rarely lets the band do anything interesting by almost constantly singing, leaving very little space. "End of the world as we know it", ironically, was good though, it was fun, the harmonies were great, and it was an overall enjoyable listen.

Chirping Crickets by Buddy Holly & The Crickets
Sep 29 2024

It was fine, inoffensive with a few good riffs in there, music style just didn't excite me much
