Diamond Life by Sade

This brought me back to when my sister listenes to this on her boombox. It is of a time and place. If you were there, this is peak mid 80’s.

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
Sep 27 2024

This brought me back. No skips. I was ten when this came out. The beginning and end were like a crescendo.

Live! by Fela Kuti
Sep 30 2024

The first song reminded me of poprocks. It had some good beats. My adhd doesnt work with long jam sessions. I kept looking to see how much time was left.

Live At Leeds by The Who
Oct 01 2024

Started the first song, a banger at 6 am leaving for work. Quite the anthem down the street. A bit of a lull in the middle, then another couple of bangers. Not bad. 4

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington

Very talented musicians. Artists. Not my cup of tea.

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys

Solid. What a debut album. I love it when an album peaks at the end.

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Oct 07 2024

What a debut album.

Astral Weeks by Van Morrison
Oct 09 2024

The tv show wonder years, in album form. Its ok. Another example of music fitting so well in a time and place.

Mott by Mott The Hoople
Oct 10 2024

New to me. Nothing above average here.

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Oct 12 2024

I liked that they went in a different direction here, but, not my cup of tea.

Movies by Holger Czukay

Ugh

The Colour Of Spring by Talk Talk
Oct 18 2024

This is a good example of listening to music at the wrong time. I was driving to work. It would have been perfect if it was 1992, I am middle management at Enron. I get home from work to my all white penthouse. Put on my slippers and sip whiskey as I look out over the city, unaware that all of this will be gone in a few years.

Tommy by The Who
Oct 19 2024

Enjoyed this. I saw the play way back when. The song pinball wizard is something I will throw on to get hyped.

Entertainment by Gang Of Four
Oct 20 2024

A fine album for a Saturday afternoon.

Low-Life by New Order
Oct 21 2024

What a solid album. Brief and to the point. I haven’t heard Elegia in years.

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Oct 22 2024

I played this album a lot in my teen years. It still slaps.

S.F. Sorrow by The Pretty Things
Oct 24 2024

What is with the opera rock in the late 60’s and early 70’s?

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
Oct 25 2024

Dated? Yes. Solid. Yes. More curse words than I remember? Yes. My favorite part is that Snoop is now like a fun Grandpa.
