1001 Albums Summary

8.5/10! When it comes to grunge I usually listen to Alice In Chains and Smashing Pumpkins, I never really listened to Pearl Jam. After listening to this album it made me realize how important they are to the genre and how great their sound is. This album was a great listen and I would totally get a cd of this to listen to in the car :)

9/10! This was such a feel-good album, as always with EWF a precise hornline, great songs, and a very unique sound. I enjoyed every song on here and the album has a lot of replayability.

7.5/10! This album was solid except for the lead vocals. For me, the weak off key singing just doesn't really hit. Maybe it was his voice. But the music itself wasn’t bad, it’s great for background listening but I found it difficult to actively listen to the album

9/10! This album was incredible. I’m already a huge Simon & Garfunkel fan, so hearing Paul Simon’s solo work was really interesting. The African theme of this album is super beautiful and I loved every minute of it.

9.5/10! I am a jazz musician, so this rating is a no-brainer. Great for active listening or background music. Snooky Young on the lead trumpet is unbeatable. Ray Charles’s blues combined with a star-studded big band and a fantastic string orchestra make every song on this album a joy to listen to.
