dumbass name for an album but god damn was this a good phase

really hard to make it through the whole album but by golly we did it, sort of gave a more annoying evanescence vibe. i struggle to enjoy droning rock but had some cool moments in the beginning

this is such a hard mixed bag album for me. on one hand i had a lot of fun growing up in this era of music. christina and brittney were sing along icons and i saw them as super cool and powerful for the time. however now this album doesn’t past the “feminism test” because all the songs are about some bum ass man, either kicking him to the curb or praising him for doing the bare minimum. damn i’m tired of that. this album doesn’t hold up to my current standard and i think growing up w it as an example of girl power had serious consequences for women in my age range. anyway i had fun dancing to it when i was a younger person

i really loved this album!! the genre that i’m making up for it is whimsi-rock
