teen movie music it's fun, it's enjoyable to listen to. makes me feel like im in a movie and im sitting in the car staring out the window, thinking about how different my life is about to be once we reach our destination. don't think it's my taste in music but it ain't bad. fave track: Alone, Together

the instrumentals are very good but i don't think i'm a fan of the vocal delivery. if i heard these just as instrumental tracks i think id enjoy them more.

i've had the mars volta recommended to me by a friend in the past and i really liked their music based on those few listens in the past. revisiting this album and listening to it in full, top to bottom, was such a fun and energizing experience. the way all the songs flow with one another is done in such an excellent way, a full story is told and i can listen through it all with little to no effort. the instrumental compositions leave me speechless... and the vocal performances are incredible. really really glad i came back to listen to TMV, i will definitely be revisiting to this album and their other ones more in the future.
