Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Nov 27 2024
Fulfillingness' First Finale by Stevie Wonder
Dec 02 2024

I thought it was a bit slow for my tastes, but that's probably because I'm not super familiar with the genre.

Dec 03 2024

It's pretty good, but I've always found REM to be too slow. I think I probably would have really liked this in another life.

Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5
Dec 04 2024

Pretty good and upbeat. Reminds me of early 2000s-ish rap with some Crystal Method vibes mixed in. 3/5

Sunshine Superman by Donovan
Dec 05 2024

I started getting into Donovan's stuff after going down the Beatles White Album rabbit hole. I was familiar with Sunshine Superman and Season of the Witch. The rest of the album was great and I could see myself putting this one on the rotator for a while.

Dec 06 2024

I like it. I'm going to go out on a limb here and it sounds like a merger of the 80s vocal sound (The Jam/The Clash) with some later 90s stuff (Portishead, Massive Attack). 4/5

Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye
Dec 09 2024

It's really good, saying this for a genre I'm not well versed in. Good groove from the first song on. Incredible vocals. Bass line is catchy and noticeable. It could be background music or active listening. 4/5

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
Dec 10 2024

This one was formative for me so it's going to be a bit biased. Even though the sound is dated and nu metal is a meme, the album holds up. 4/5

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Dec 11 2024

This is great productivity music. Will add to the rotation. 4/5

Tigermilk by Belle & Sebastian
Dec 13 2024

Having never listened to this full album, I always thought Belle and Sebastian were kind of boring. After giving this thing a spin, I've gotta say, I kind of dig it! It's still not what I would consider "exciting" music, but that's okay. I can hear a lot of inspiration for the next generation of indie acts. 4/5

Revolver by Beatles
Dec 17 2024

I mean... it's one of my favorite albums of all time. It still has a bit of that bubble gum Beatles sound to it, but it also brings in the sitar and the psychadelia. For No One is a perfect song.

Disintegration by The Cure
Dec 18 2024

Another one I've heard people rave about but I've never given it a chance. It sounds good... good enough for multiple listens. The sound is timeless (except for the cheesy 80s bass).

Picture Book by Simply Red
Dec 19 2024

I'm forcing myself through this one. Not something I would willfully choose to listen to without the help of a project like this. 2/5

Chris by Christine and the Queens
Jan 01 2025

I used to like a few Christine and the Queens songs back in the day. This is decent, but a little too poppy for my tastes. 3/5

Duck Rock by Malcolm McLaren
Jan 03 2025

What the hell am I listening to?!
