Arrival by ABBA
Dec 01 2024

I had heard all of these tracks previously, with the exception of Happy Hawaii, because I was an ABBA fanatic in 7th grade. Still incredible; ABBA will forever hold a special place in my heart. It would be a no skip album if it weren’t for Arrival, but that’s an instrumental so I don’t think it takes too much away. I do love this, but it definitely lacks some depth. There isn’t much to the songs beyond the fact that they go crazy. I’m not exactly one to judge because I’m a sucker for basic pop bangers, but I definitely enjoy an album more when there is more depth to it. Still, it’s absolutely iconic and for good reason. Favorite: Money, Money, Money (sorry Dancing Queen) Least Favorite: Arrival

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel
Dec 01 2024

Scarborough Fair gave me spooky pirate song vibes, kind of reminds me of MALINDA. I enjoyed Cloudy, it’s a pretty upbeat track that feels like good. Homeward Bound was also quite good, it was probably my favorite instrumentation. The Big Bright Green Pleasure Machine was pretty silly. Flowers Never Bend with the Rainfall was also a nice upbeat track. I was surprised at how short these were. Overall pretty unremarkable, don’t think I would listen to much of to this in my free time. However, I did like it more than I expected to. By no means bad, but not my cup of tea. Favorite Track: Homeward Bound Least Favorite: Patterns

The Cars by The Cars
Dec 02 2024

Meh. Pretty generic 70s/80s pop. Of course Just What I Needed is great, but so many of the other songs sound just like it. I did like Don’t Cha Stop, the sound is still the same but the song is its own if that makes sense. Favorite Song: Just What I Needed Least Favorite: most of em idk
