One of my favourite Fleetwood Mac albums. They’re also my comfort songs
I noticed a lot of influences from oriental music. It almost sounded tantric with a single guitar note harmonizing in the back of the lead and rhythm to create an almost ethereal soundscape. I heard the album twice to understand it better and it seems to tell the story of a man who falls in love and slowly loses himself, falls for harder and harder drugs, ends up losing his sanity and becoming captive to his own emotions and problems. The longer you listen to the album, the more you see the music devolve into this raw display of feelings. The music itself feels like a form of protest. They seem to break a lot of rules of how a song should sound like with screeching guitars and notes that conflict with each other by the end as a way of them saying they reject what society wants them to be.
Is it St Patty’s already? Quintessentially Irish. Accordions, Fiddles and a pint of beer. Your feet will keep tapping. A 4 for me
Would probably need a second listen but loved some of the songs in it. Wild is the wind in particular
I wasn’t a big fan of the new wave songs. Good exploration but I don’t think it’s for me
