The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths

I really tried to like this, but just couldn’t.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Dec 27 2024

A few good songs that I saved. Most songs felt pretty dated.

Amnesiac by Radiohead
Dec 28 2024

I am familiar with a few songs on this album. Pyramid Song is so hauntingly beautiful. I’m happy I finally listened to this the whole way through. Although, there’s a feeling of too much “filler” after this one listen through.

Blunderbuss by Jack White
Dec 29 2024

This genre isn't really my thing. I feel like I'm listening to a copy-cat version of stuff I heard decades ago. It all feels pretty contrived and uninteresting.

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Dec 30 2024

What a beautiful album! What a wonderful surprise this album/performance was! An instant classic to add to my rotation.

The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
Dec 31 2024

I really tried to like this, but just couldn’t.

Jan 01 2025

This album is pretty vanilla. Some catchy stuff, but it's also quite anemic throughout.

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Jan 04 2025

I tried listening to this, but I just can't get into it. This older stuff just feels so dated at this point.

Sea Change by Beck
Jan 05 2025

I really enjoyed this album. Paper Tiger was especially interesting. Round the Bend was particularly moody, which I really liked - it felt very Nick Drake inspired.

Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Oct 12 2025

I LOVED the opening track. BUT, beyond that, there were maybe one or two tracks throughout that held my attention before I started to lose it. Neil is a great lyricist, but I feel like his compositions seemed a bit vanilla. I gravitate toward a little more musical interest, and this album just didn't have enough to sustain me throughout. I can appreciate the concept of the blue vs black, start vs ending, but I feel like the execution was just left wanting.

Crocodiles by Echo And The Bunnymen
Aug 14 2026

I did not care for this album or band. The sound just isn’t for me.

Violator by Depeche Mode
Aug 15 2026

I really enjoyed Clean and Enjoy the Silence, but I felt like most other songs, especially the vocal themes throughout, followed a similar formula. It felt very same-y by the end of the listen. I felt the production value was above average though.
