The Velvet Underground
This album is lush in its guitars; it's almost like being carried down a river in a float. The lyrics are standard fare for the late 60s, but "The Murder Mystery" threw me for a loop with its abrupt switching in pace. Overall, I enjoyed this album, which was apparently a departure to the band's previous releases.

A Rush Of Blood To The Head
Coldplay
As someone whose only exposure to Coldplay are their singles, this is a really nice-sounding album indicative of the 2000s. Not really a fan of the vocal delivery and lyricism.

I love this album's pop-centric sound that highlights not just how people lived in the 70s but even today.

Thriller
Michael Jackson
It's Thriller. There's a reason why it's the best-selling album of all time: it's well produced by the legend Quincy Jones and spares no time for filler ("The Girl is Mine" is debatable on that front).

Despite me not knowing the contents of the lyrics (Icelandic/Hopelandic), the instrumentation is absolutely soothing. It's like riding home and letting the stress and uneasiness of life coast away behind you.
