1001 Albums Summary

A quintessentialy 70s feel on a genre I don't know a lot about. I hear the sounds Hedwig was referencing. This was a good listen, but not my genre.

I apparently know MGMT tracks already! But I can't stand this style of singing. The tracks tend to run together. Might be too gay for this.

I didn't identify with this when I was a teenager and it was new. I don't identify with it now either, but I recognize it's quality. The second half lagged a bit, but there were some great moments throughout.

This was tight, balanced, and a novel concept. As an erstwhile saxophonist, I was familiar with some of these tracks, but I'd never heard the album as a whole. This is something I will come back to.
